Jill Hickey IS the NotSoSoccerMom.   A mother of 4, Jill started writing “JillsBlog.com” in 2005 from her “cold Connecticut basement” upon moving the NorthEast from Arkansas as a way to share with friends and family what their new life was like.   However, Jill didn’t now how to actually set up a blog, so it was an email list!
Since then, this little email list has morphed into a website, spawned to online radio shows and given Jill the courage to attack —- having a new baby (they only had three in CT!), becoming a Personal Trainer, Zumba Instructor & going out for varios ‘mom-blogger’ competitions.

Life’s little stories, like a seemingling mundane trip to the Clinique counter at Macy’s, become material. As do life’s BIG stories, like her fourth child, Baby Patrick, having cranial surgery for a condition called craniosynostosis.

Jill likes to think of herself as the ‘anti’ mom-blogger since her work spans not just MOM isssues, but political satires, life commentary and many— yes of Jill’s (fictional) Life Reinvention ideas like running for President, developing a line of boutique cole-slaws & taking on “Big Candy”.
