I don’t wanna act like the Media Celebrity has gone to my head, but I DID get recognized by 3 people in the Chicago Airport en route to ‘the M states’ for The Baby Jesus’ & and Baby New Year’s (he has less effective publicists, don’t you think?) Birthdays…Fine, 2 of them were my kids that I tried to shake when I was dying for some spirit Peanut M & M’s and didn’t want to set a bad example. The other was the gate agent who thought I looked like the mom from The Wonder Years.
THAT’S NOT THE POINT:
The NotSoSoccerMom Hour on Toginet.com Radio returns tomorrow!
I’ll be recapping the 12 day, 2 hometown, 4 kids in tow, 2 storm trip— which, (not to brag and one-up anyone else’s drama) includes a lost bag, a lost kid, Dominoes for Christmas dinner, a harrowing white chocolate outage at Starbucks, not enough Chia Pets as gifts, a little boy who learned to walk & 6 Jersey transplants with nothing but a dream (and I mean that sincerely because the rental car didn’t have GPS), trying to spend time with family……

I wish I could call in but will be at work. We were supposed to leave LR @ 8am to head to Okla but the blizzard of ‘09 there delayed us. We finally left @ 1 w/the roads all clear except for the last 60 miles which was frozen slush. After a good visit w/the hubby’s grandparents, drove the mile to his parents’. We were oh so close when we encountered a tree down across the country road. Tried to go backwards, up a hill, and made it about 1/4 of the way. Then, he tried to turn us around and got us stuck in a snowdrift. We then walked 1/4 of a mile in a couple of inches of snow back to the tree (at 9:30 pm, in the country, where our phones don’t work)where we were met by a rescue party who realized we were missing. Needless to say, it was a great start and a text went out to one of his employees the next day w/the details (not saying who sent it) and hubby is now known as snowdrift at the office.
Jennifer— You need to call in sick to work and share this in person, girl!!! OMGosh!!!!!
This is just a side note….I love your hair in this picture!! Too cute!
GET OUT!! Did Sweet P learn to walk over Christmas Break??? I was going to razz you when you got back and ask, “Did any of the people who nag you about P not walking TEACH THE BOY TO WALK when he was visiting????” By golly, someone must have : ) : ) : ) Awesome holiday memory! Well, that and pizza delivery on Christmas Day–you know how to celebrate!
The date thingy on here is European. It has the day first, then the month. For a minute I thought you were in April whilst I’m stuck in January!
Also, that mom from The Wonder Years could NOT have been cuter (I adored her!) but you are way way prettier than even she was/is. Nice compliment to you but even nicer to HER!!!
Heather – good catch on that date format. I’ll get right on that and get it fixed!
